About Seki
As a mother and a passionate early childhood educator, Seki created Seki’s Little Learners Dayhome to provide the kind of care she would want for her own children—a place that feels like home, where every child is loved, encouraged, and inspired to grow. After years of caring for little ones, she realized how much she enjoys watching their personalities bloom. Starting her own licensed dayhome allowed her to combine that love for teaching with a warm, nurturing home environment. It’s more than a business—it’s a calling.
Seki’s favourite part about working with young children is seeing their face light up when they learn something new, make a new friend, or proudly show off their artwork. Every day is filled with laughter, hugs, curiosity, and “aha” moments. She loves creating a space where children feel safe to explore, express themselves, and build confidence. Their honesty, energy, and joy remind her daily of the importance of this work.

A nurturing environment
Seki’s Little Learners DayHome is where every parent can feel peace of mind, trust, and confidence, knowing their child is safe, loved, and growing every day in a caring home that combines the warmth of home with the structure of early learning. At Seki's Little Learners Dayhome, young children learn best through play, hands-on discovery, and loving guidance. Seki uses a play-based learning approach rooted in key early childhood philosophies that support each child’s development at their own pace.
A moment that made it all worthwhile
Not long ago, a shy little boy joined Seki’s Little Learners Dayhome. It was his first time away from home, and the transition was hard—he clung to his mom, cried during drop-offs, and didn’t speak much during the day. Seki could tell he was overwhelmed and needed extra support to feel safe and secure. So, every morning, she greeted him with a calm voice, a big smile, and the same soft blanket waiting in his favorite chair. She paired him gently with one buddy for playtime, read his favorite books during circle time, and slowly introduced him to our daily routine at his pace.
After a few weeks, everything changed. One morning, he walked in smiling, ran up to give Seki a hug, and said, “Look! I brought my toy for sharing today!” That was the first time he spoke with full confidence in the group—and her heart swelled. His mom later shared with her, “You’ve helped him come out of his shell in a way we didn’t think possible. Thank you for seeing him.” It reminded Seki that the smallest consistent acts of love and patience can make a big difference in a child’s life. And that’s why she does what she does—because every child deserves to feel seen, safe, and celebrated.
